You didn't imagine the Florida bit -- that's where she used to be (at the same rink as Paul Duchesnay, I believe). But as Louis says, she's in PA now.

I thought Liz was in Las Vegas. Or did I imagine that she lived/trained/coached there at one time? It's entirely possible since I have a good imagination.

Liz was in Las Vegas for a time, then she was in Florida, and as of this summer, she has been in Aston. I don't believe she is married, but I know she is seeing someone.

Is it out of place for me to ask a question on this thread about Liz's appearance? It may come across as rude, but in no way meant that way.

Well what exactly do you want to ask? I see nothing wrong with her apperance !!

I'll wade into this one. She performed in the Elvis tour in November, and she doesn't look great. She still has the charm and I love her, but her skating skills have gone down substantially IMO. Her programs were more dancing in place than skating, and the jumps were very basic.

Elvis announced that she had had some sort of surgery in the summer and skating was still quite painful however, so it's possible that was the problem.

She's gained some weight from her "fightin' days" but I don't have a problem with it. She still looks healthy, and that's what counts.

After Liz's absolutely stunning "Uninvited" she can do no wrong and I'll be forever grateful to her. That's in my top 2-3 programs of all time.

I loved that program too ... a good example of a great program *without* all the tricks. Sadly her latest offerings aren't that good. One was from Madonna's "Music" (lots of dancing in one place, playing with cowgirl hat) and I don't even remember what the other one was.

She broke her foot in 3 or 4 places and has pins in her foot to keep the whole thing together.. She hasn't been skating on it for that long so it's nice to hear she is progressing well! Yes.. she is at IceWorks in Aston, PA. I have one of my girls there skating. She's upbeat and cheerful as usual!

Liz coaches at IceWorks in Aston, Pa. Liz came to Iceworks this past summer with a cast on her right foot (landing foot) up to her knee. She broke her foot in 4 or 5 places and has 3-4 pins and 2 metal plates surgically put inside her foot to hold it together. That is the way she is capable of being able to walk and skate. Liz was off the ice and not allowed to do ANYTHING for months. No working out and not even physical therapy. Physical therapy came much later on. She would just be standing on her feet and coaching and that was so extremely painful for her after the cast came off for along time. She had to come back slowly and carefully pertaining to skating. For her to go and do the Elvis tour was amazing. But then again Liz is amazing. Liz is back on the ice and skating and coaching and looks so good. She can jump and boy can she ever spin. She just completed choreographing my youngest daughters Novice Ladies short program and it is awesome. Liz coaches both daughters at Iceworks a Senior Lady and a Novice Lady, and they love her.

Hello, I am new to "Skatingforums" chat and I just would like to say "HELLO" to everyone.

Regarding the chat on Liz Manley - Would anyone know how Liz broke her left foot in multiple places. I went to "SK8 With Elvis" show in Vancouver and I had just an amazing time - After the show I met and received almost all of the skaters autographs - I even talked to Elvis about Martial Arts (we have something in common) - Also, at the "SK8 With Elvis" show would anyone happen to know what the other song was that Liz performed to ? I know "Music" by Madonna was one of them but the other one is really bugging me because it's an oldie and I would like to know - Thank you -

Elvis said that she broke her foot in 9 places and that it was held together with wires and metal plates. I went to the London, ON Sk8 With Elvis. I've got her listed on the Figure Skaters' Prayer Chain for the injury at Figure Skaters For Christ.
