This week's People magazine has some nice photos from Scott Hamilton's wedding:

Kristi Yamaguchi, Sarah Kawahara, Steven Cousins (Scott's best man) were the only skaters at the ceremony...it looked like a pretty elaborate wedding for only 19 guests! :)

What a nice wedding and his wife is very beautiful! I think the it was a very nice idea that they had a small wedding with only 18 people. Best WisheS!!! :P

Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. I have followed Scott throughout his career, having seen him live for the first time on the tour just following his Olympic Gold medal.
He deserves this happiness.

Those pictures are beautiful! I had no idea that he was getting married, and I'm so happy for them!!
the paper copy of the magazine has little updates on Scott, Katia, Nancy and Kristi. In a nutshell, everyone wants a baby or wants to spend more time the ones they have ;)

Thanks so much for the link! WOW I knew that Scott was engaged but I didn't think that they would be getting married this soon. Non the less all the photos are breath taking and they make a beautiful couple. So happy for them both!!

fascinating. Scott's wife's dress looks like a longer version of the dress that Renee Roca wears for her "The Prayer" number in Stars on Ice. Same designer????

Possibly. Jeff Billings is the designer for SOI. I wouldn't be suprised if Scott had also asked him to design his wife's wedding dress.

I wonder what a "former nutritionist" chooses to serve for her wedding luncheon??!!
Scott Hamilton has entertained so many people over the years. He's been such an energetic promoter of figure skating and now he has turned that prodigious energy to the cause of helping people battling cancer. More power to you, Scott, and much happiness to the newlyweds :)

Just wondering... strange that kurt wasn't there? I thought the two of them were really tight....:?:

Well, Paul Wylie wasn't there either even tho Scott was in his wedding and he looked up to Scott as a big brother.
...which probably means nothing as far as them not being at the wedding - Scott probably just wanted a very tiny affair. Most of us who wanted that would only have room for immediate family and one or two friends. :)
Plus, I was surprised that Paul and Kurt weren't at each others' weddings, but again, sometimes work friendships stay at work. I have a ton of those - people I'm friends with at work but who I'd probably not have to my wedding, neither would I expect an invitation from them.

Could it be possible that Kurt WAS invited but couldn't attend ??? One never really knows ....

Seeing as SOI is in full swing, I'm sure that's why his SOI friends (Kurt, Todd, etc.) weren't there. Steven is out of the tour right now, so that wasn't a conflict. Maybe they'll have a party post tour so that their other friends can celebrate.

Aww! They look so cute and happy together, and that cake looks absolutely delicious!

Strange, though: you'd think that with SOI being such a huge part of Scottie's life for nearly 20 years, he would have planned the wedding at a time when his skating "family" could be there. Another person you might expect to be there is Sandra (Bezic).

Well, I don't know about Kurt and Paul (although in Kurt's case, I do remember him saying before the wedding that he and Sonia wanted to keep the guest list as short as possible), but considering Scott and Tracie only got engaged a few months before their wedding, they likely just didn't have time to plan a really big ceremony even if they'd wanted one. Scott probably didn't count on having to be a "guest star fill-in" for SOI when he got engaged, either! :)
