I already posted this under the "S&P on Game Faces" topic, but in case some people might miss it there, the Canada AM website says Kurt will appear on the Dec. 30th show while S&P are scheduled to appear on Dec. 31:

I don't know why Kurt is mentioned as appearing from Salt Lake City (SOI isn't stopping there anytime next week, are they?), but hopefully we'll find out tomorrow! :)

Unfortunately for those of us who didn't set our VCRs on a daily basis, it looks like the S&P Canada AM interview actually aired on Jan. 2. :( Someone on another list I'm subscribed to managed to find an official transcript of the interview, and while most of the questions weren't much different than what S&P have been asked during most of the other interviews they've given this season, here are a few new tidbits:
...people often ask S&P whether or not they turned pro because they no longer want to be judged, but that's not the case. They actually made the decision to turn pro even before last year's Canadians. They always wanted to go out on top and felt the best time to do that was after the Olympics.
...S&P were asked how it felt to tour with Kurt Browning since they (particularily Jamie, who trained with Kurt at the Royal Glenora Club when she was a kid) have known him for so long. Jamie said the fact this might be Kurt's last year touring with SOI made being in the same show with him even more exciting. But before any Kurt fans jump to conclusions about that statement, Jamie emphasized that nobody knows for sure yet whether or not this is Kurt's last year with the tour and she doesn't think Kurt himself has said anything about it one year or the other. Jamie also didn't specify whether she meant the U.S. or Canadian SOI tour.
...S&P made a few statements comparing pro and eligible skating and David said he felt young compared to many of the other skaters who have performed on the tour for years.
...Of course, there were the usual questions about the SLC judging scandal and S&P said they didn't like to look back anymore, preferring to look forward and stay focused on their skating. Jamie also said skaters would have to wait another year or two to find out whether or not the new judging system would change the sport for the better, but she thought there was nothing wrong with the old judging system...it's the fact the same judges who corrupted the old system are still judging that bothers them and most of the other skaters now retired from eligible skating. Jamie said she didn't think the changes have gotten root of the problems and a lot of the "good" judges she and David have met over the years are no longer judging have been sent out of the system, which makes her sad.
...S&P think they're pretty good at staying low-profile most of the time off the ice because they don't consider themselves "stars"; they just try to skate like stars. :)
...Of course, there was another requisite question about S&P's private life. Jamie said she met a fan during SOI rehearsals in Simsbury who told her everything about Jamie's life, leaving Jamie to think, "Okay, I
didn't even know some of that stuff." Jamie said she didn't know how fans could know so much information about her.
...S&P plan to skate professionally for about four to six years. After that, David said he wasn't sure whether or not he'd continue to skate or pursue a coaching career. He's got other plans for after skating, but right now, he prefers to keep them to himself. ;)
