Another FSW lost soul where posting reviews is concerned! Thanks to Adrian for providing another board home.

After going to all three of the NC COI shows, I finally did a combined review which is VERY long (sorry!). For anyone interested, it appears on Rudy Galindo's web site on the page location below:

Thanks Amandah for such a thorough review. Glad you enjoyed the shows - I enjoyed them through your words. <g>

Thanks Amandah for such a detailed review. It's great for those of us "on the other side of the pond" to be able to follow COI even though we cannot attend any show... Indeed there's not much of ice skating here right now...

Thanks for the reviews, Amandah. :) Your observations are pretty much the same as mine about the various skaters. I do agree with your notes on Elvis, too -- although I've always loved him as a competitor, I tend to enjoy his exhibition performances more. He was always more relaxed and IMO connects with the audience more, which makes sense considering how focused he was as a competitor. I have a feeling that we'll see some things from him *no one* is expecting in the coming years. :)

And you're right, I'd love to see Weiss do more too. He's so much better than the cookie-cutter programs he's done the last three years for COI. He's a great artistic skater with a lot of power, and he could bring down the house with a great song. Last year, I actually liked his little bit in the intro of COI, to the Creed song "Higher", better than his solo number!
