James Cowling (http://www.figureskatingreports.com) did a writeup of Sasha's GP events at Trophee Lalique and Cup of Russia.

That was great, Adrian.

I love his reports. Who is James Cowling, anyway?

He's a freelance journalist that has covered figure skating for a while now - most in Europe, and he's from the United Kingdom. He covered the Olympics too, for BBC Sports...

Thanks...I really liked the part about Sasha's spins, specifically the front catch and the side catch are truly historic...no one before has achieved that quality.

That was a good article and definitely true. Sasha is definitely a great talent.

She was amazing at Sears Open, she should be able to win Worlds this year if she skates the way she is capable...

Sasha has the talent, she has the hunger and she has the skating worlds attention. She's a hardworker and she's feisty.

She's got amazing spirals, spins that are awesome, and she just has like James says that X factor that says "here I am, I've come to win!"

Thanks for the article on Cohen.
She certainly has the talent and the ability to be a champion. I don't think anyone disputes that. She just needs to put it together when it counts. IIRC, didn't Frank Carroll make mention of Sasha's talent after Keri Lotion '99?
This years Nationals will certainly be interesting.

This article has nothing to do with Kwan. All the Kwan references and comparisons on this topic has been removed. Please don't turn every topic here into a Michelle vs. Sasha debate. Thanks. ~adrianchew~

Nits: Actually, I also remember Frank Carroll offering (maybe in jest, but I don't think so now looking back) to train Sasha if John Nicks decided she was too much of a hand-full. Of course, he said that when Nicks was training two up and coming stars (Naomi Nari Nam and Cohen). Just so odd how things change over time. It is reassuring, though, to see at least one of those up-and-comers (Sasha) arrive. The injuries in the past few years have been too prevalent and so disappointing and sad.
