back in like 94 or so she was going to get her amature eligibility back...... I thought that this was quite interesting, because i saw her in a show the nutcracker or something and she did two triple loops and I think a triple flip...... I thought that she would be competitive because she looked like she was in great shape. I know that there was some problem with her getting her eligibilty back, but when she finally got it , did she compete again?

Burghart regained her eligibility at the last possible time (summer of '95 or '96?), but then gave it up again without competing. I believe there were struggles which led her to believe that she wouldn't have the support of the USFSA, which was probably true, but I may be remembering wrong. At any rate, I remember thinking if she'd been at the '95 nationals, based on the way she skated at the U.S. Open in late '94, she probably would have been reasonably competitive--that was a weak ladies field and IIRC she was landing several triples (even a lutz?) at that point. By '96, though, things had changed anyway, and I doubt she'd have ever been particularly competitive even if she had stuck with it. She did, meanwhile, have a pretty solid pro career during that time period; one of the skaters who best took advantage of the post-'94 boom IMO.
