Nice articles. Interesting to know she considered postponing college. I am glad she did. Now, as her training and competitive schedule heat up, we will see if it alters the decision at all.

It's interesting that Sarah is still considering either Yale or Columbia. I thought if you apply for early decision and got accepted, then you are committed to go to that school. Isn't that what early decision application is for?

Harvard is "early action", not "early decision" so it is not binding. That is probably why Harvard is the only school she has applied to so far because all of the other choices she has mentioned are early decision.
