What was shown on the TV broadcast? I'm very curious since I just missed it. Darn local time being Atlantic tonight and not Eastern.

From what I can recall (not necessarily in order):
* opening group number
* Jamie & David Christmas number
* Annabelle & Patrice Christmas number
* Jennifer Christmas number
* Kurt Christmas number
* "Christmas Canon" (group number that opened 2nd half, I believe)
* Brian Orser Christmas number (Garth Brooks)
* Jeff Christmas number (Lonely Christmas Eve)
* Shawn Sawyer Christmas number
* Kurt's second number
* Jamie & David's second number ("Come Fly with Me")
* several cutaways to a Christmas dinner for the whole group at Langdon Hall (with chit chat, toasts, etc.)
* part of closing group number with superimposed credits

Although Angela N., G & G, and Neladina were listed in the opening credits, they were only seen in the group numbers and at the dinner.

Good show but 1 hour was way too short

Thanks, victorskid, for letting us know where that big Christmas dinner took place (I originally thought that great big mansion was Brian Orser's house!) and for filling me in on how much of the final group number was shown (my TV reception went out for the last few minutes of the broadcast and I wasn't able to see it--at least it doesn't sound like I missed very much!)

I was worried this year's show wouldn't translate very well to TV given the shortened timeslot, but I was impressed with how much skating CBC was able to cram into those 60 minutes! I was pleasantly surprised to see they managed to include both of Kurt's and S&P's programs (the only non holiday-themed programs in the broadcast) as well as most of the group numbers. I also got a kick out of Kurt, S&P, and Brian trying to "upstage" each other (with Kurt getting in the last word!) during the broadcast intro. :)

Of course, I would have liked to see more programs included, but since most of the chacked numbers were programs we've already seen (or hopefully will see!) in other events, I don't really have any complaints about what they did choose to include.

leap of faith, if you get American TV, (and anyone else south of the border) hopefully you'll be able to see this show sometime between Christmas and New Year's...check your local listings!

Yeah, it was way too short.

It would have been nice to see at least one solo from everyone.

And I was hoping to get Jeff's first number on tape.

I agree with you Summertime.... I wanted Jeff's "Angels" program on tape so bad!!! What a beautiful program!

I think they did a fairly good job of fitting in a lot of skating and the shots with them eating and talking were kind of interesting. I didn't know about the French Canadian way of opening presents on Christmas Eve and staying up until about 4am and then going to bed. Although my family had the same tradition as Jamie's...open one present on Christmas eve and everything else Christmas morning! :D

It was fun to be able to see myself in the background sometimes!! ;)

The fluff bits were probably some of the best fluff bits I've seen in a show like this ... but I still can't help but think that they could have fit in 1 more program instead. Oh well, can't have everything.

I really enjoyed the show! I even taped it! It was only one hour so that was kinda a downer! I'm really upset that they didnt show Jeff Buttles Angel program it sounds soo beautiful! ARG CBC!!
I really think Brian Orser did a wonderful job or making up all of those lovely programs he is a true master! I really liked brians number, he really has an ear for music every tiny beat is used it was wonderful! I also liked Shawn Sawyers program I dont know whether it was the lights or the atmosphere but his presentation and jumps have really improved! It was weird, I had taped over the 2002 Jr Canadians and just as HFOI was done it was Shawns program. I couldnt believe the difference, especailly in the confidence area!
Sale and pelletier were amazing as well they have the best karma on the ice its like 2 peices of a puzzle! They are perfect for eachother. I really liked the Fly with me number!
SO overall is wasnt a waste of an hour infact I wish it was 2!!

They showed this yesterday on CBS in the U.S. Brian Orser showed his usual quality goods. I liked the concept of the ensemble numbers, but a lot of singles skaters usually massacre these routines because it highlights how poor they are at counting music & their lack of spatial awareness. For example, I loved the Christmas Canon music & the choreography, but they just didn't do the routine justice. Brian & Kurt obviously have a lot of experience with ensemble work & can count music & have good spatial skills. Jennifer Robinson was another story & it would have looked much better had they used the skaters who were the strong ensemble skaters & left out the others for those numbers.
