Good for Miki Ando! I read she landed one at NHK exhibitions and I was hoping she'd land it in competition. This makes her the first female to land it! What an amazing feat!!!

This is exciting news! I took notice of her during coverage of last year's Junior world championships--nice line and extension. Glad to hear she's still making waves. Anyone have a video clip of the jump?

Probably only if someone who was at the JGP Final at The Hague videotaped Ando's quad sal in her FS and shares with a TV network -- a la Tim Goebel's quad "first" at the JGP Final in March 1998 which the Stieglers videotaped and was shown during ABC's 1998 Worlds coverage (and the Stieglers were at this season's JGP Final as well!)

ah, sasha was very intent on becoming the first lady to land that quad in competition... oh well, guess not now..8O she can still work on it though and become the first US lady to ever land it... :D
