I find that Sarah Hughes and Amy Chow share similarities in terms that they are both Olympic gold medalists, are great students, and are ambious to be doctors. Both won the Olympic Gold during their "prime years" and also have to make a decision when to go to college following their "win".
After Amy won gold (and silver) in 1996, she toured for a year and deferred the acceptance to Stanford one year later (and lost her athletic scholarship as well) and entered in 1997. Then she took a year off in 2000 to make a comeback to be on the Olympic team. Now, she has graduated from Stanford and is a first-year med student there too!
Does anyone think that Sarah will follow Amy's path? If Sarah is accepted to Harvard, do you think she would go there (harvard) this year and then take a year off (2005-2006) to try and make it to the Olympics in 2006 again? This girl has the talent and brains!
