Some at SkateFans are reporting that Yags said he may in the near future move to Vancouver -- I didn't catch all of his interviews. Did anyone else hear that??

Seems strange to me. I know he likes us guys up here, but I didn't think he liked us that much!

Yup he loves Canada, he said since travelling wish SOI over Canada he has seen the different cities and really likes the Vancouver B.C Area.... I'm not sure if they asked him if he would move, or if he bought up the topic but I think he wants to move there soon.... That's just going from my memory.... but I think that's what pretty much was said :)

Thanks Koala. Well, he's not my absolute favourite skater, but I think I could handle him living in this city. Would be a feather in the cap of Vancouver.

(Maybe he could hit 8 Rinks and give my man a few pointers about staying on his feet!!)

Debbi and Rod asked Alexei if he would move to Canada, and they both looked shocked when Alexei said he really liked Vancouver... he said he would like to move there, so maybe 1 day :) and he was being serious!

I don't blame him... BC is awesome!!!

Yeh I was a bit surprised myself actually ... I knew that he loved Canada and absolutly LOVES the fans here in Canada but I was a bit surprised that he was thinking about actually living here. However I think its great ... most skaters move to the United States. So it was nice to hear that he is really considering moving to Canada - and well Vancouver is beautiful. I've been there twice and it is just breathtaking.

I couldn't agree more. I remember at Worlds in 2001 Yags was waiting for the bus to take him back to his hotel after practice and he was asking people around him for advice as to how he could move to Canada. I thought at the time is was just the usual Yags PR. Maybe he was actually serious.

Yikes, can you imagine (for me), Eman and Yagudin both in my city. Almost too much to handle.
