This article seems to clear up some uncertainties...

L&T and B&K are no longer with Tarasova. It seems Tarasova is working some with Shen/Zhao.

Who are Peter and Naomi training with? This really opens the door for Belbin and Acosta at Nationals.

Quote from second article:

"Any professional sport is a combination of hard work, discipline, dedication and team effort on the part of an athlete and a coach," Tarasova said in a statement.

"If any of these components are missing it will be difficult to achieve the desired results."

D'you think she's trying to imply that Shae and/or Vic are missing
not displaying "hard work, discipline, dedication and team effort." 8O

Unfortunately this article was a canadian news piece and it left out the fact that she is no longer coaching Lang/T. The quote concerning dedication etc. I think was more directed at them. The article also got the training center wrong. Tarasova has relocated to the Simsbury rink while her former assistant is remaining at Newington.

Well this isn't the first time that a coach has made reference to L/T's work ethic. I wonder what's really going on there.

hm... could you elaborate a bit on this?

I've never really heard anything about L&T's work ethic (or lack thereof?)

What's the deal?

Thanks!

Please be careful making assumptions like this. We don't know what the situation is exactly with L/T, nor was this 'quote' specifically directed at them. Naomi has been injured and progress may be going slow as a result. Speculations based on hearsay can be quite misleading to an unknowing audience. --Spinner

Maybe the part about dedication is meant by TT for herself. Perhaps she isn't quite as dedicated to B&K like she was earlier, for whatever reason, which makes working as a team more difficult. Just a thought.

til later,
