Did anyone see this last night? An old program, the female figure skater was cut on the knee to keep her from competing, ala Harding/Kerrigan. With a twist. The cuttee set the whole thing up with the cutter. But watch! There she is accelerating for the triple Axel! But it was a double Salchow.

That episode was shown not long after the Tonya/Nancy incident. They changed it to the more athletic "Tonya" skater being the one who was hit, and the artistic "Nancy" being pilloried and blamed by the media and public. Meanwhile, "Tonya" set up the hit on herself because she a had a career threatening injury from flopping on her triple axel. Then the hit man tried to blackmail her for more money but she killed him with her skate blade!!! (Yep, honestly, you can cut someone's throat with quick swipe to the neck using a dull skate!!!! ). Then she switched the blade to Nancy's skate to have her blamed--but good ol' Doc Sloane knew Tonya had hers sharpened for speed, while Nancy had hers done differently. ("Tonya" got nailed because of that blade and a tracing she left on the ice). Most ridiculous of all was the idea that "Tonya" trained herself to do the triple axel JUMPING IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!!! Oh yeah, right. Of course, "Nancy" wins the big (non-existant) comp to Peggy Fleming's insipid blathering (God, I hope they paid Peg well for that appearance!!!!) The skating idiocies in this story were enough to make your teeth hurt, but it was basically harmless, silly fluff.

I have never seen this show. However, I wonder if there was any real skating in it. If so, who were the actual skaters?

There was actual skating, but I don't remember the skaters being credited. Nobody "elite" as far as I know, aside from Peggy.
