Whoops, had to edit this...apparently IMG sent out an old cast list by mistake. It's actually Sato & Dungjen, not B&S. Sorry to get everyone so worked up!

Holy cow! 8O

I was really hoping that S&P and B&S would never compete against each other ever again ... because I know that some media bozo will make a big deal over whatever the results are and use it to stir up the whole SLC mess again.

Me too. I'm NOT looking forward to how NBC will handle this. :(

Not sure if I even want to watch the broadcast. Probably will just tape it and fast-forward through all the junk.

I understand you guys' concern but I am still thrilled that B&S will be competing again. They should hold their heads up high and not afraid of anything. All they need is to focus and deliver 2 good performance in their usual standard and tell the world why they are are 2-times World Champions and 2-times Olympic medialists. I hope they'll use their SP and LP from last season. Both are gorgeous and I never have seens enough of them.

...I just had a minor stroke. Wow. Did NOT expect to read that bit of news! I will be AT this competition so this may just about do me in, although I will at least get to watch the skating without whoever for NBC putting words in my mouth about their performances. 8O But man oh man, I did NOT want to watch SLC part 2 live and in person...I was a mess during the first one (LOL, and all I had wanted was the pair that skated cleanest and best to win that night! I love both the Golden pair teams!!) so I am so not ready for that. What a competition this is turning out to be. Boy, I am sure I will have some great stories to share after that weekend!! 8O Better get more film.....:D

Ok, you did that deliberately to get our hearts beating faster, right? ;)

Well, phew. A tiny bit disappointed, too, but mostly phew.

And, since we'll be seeing B&S in SOI, I am looking forward to seeing Sato and Dungjen. I thought that they were just beginning to gel as a pair last year, so I'm anticipating great things from them this year.

Can someone help me out? My friend from Colo. wants to go to this- can you tell me which hotels are near the arena, or close enough that a taxi ride won't cost alot? I would appreciate any other info that you have. Thanks.

Hi Dawnk.

The Hyatt Regency is located adjacent to the Columbus Convention Center, and is only one block away from the arena. Across the street from that is the Crown Plaza, which is also just a block away. The Courtyard by Mariott is also about a block away.

Hope this info helps. If you need any other ifo, just let me know. I'll be going to this event too! =)

You can visit the website for the Arena District as well. Everything is within walking distance. There are hotels, restaurants, and even a movie theater. I should know, I work right across from the Arena. :)

I posted a list here (http://www.skatingforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2559) with hotels and their relative distance to Nationwide Arena.

See you there!

This is such a great lineup. I'll be rooting for Maria (not one of favs, but I miss her), Todd (even though I prefer Alexei's skating), and Sato & Dungen (love Yuka). I wish competitions would happen in Sacramento.

I'm surprised there are only 4 entries in each area....why not 5 or 6? :??
