Question about Toller

I'm wondering which world championship it was that he was soooo ticked off with the judging...? (Was that in '72?) And where was that particular world championships?

Also, I remember hearing that he pitched his skates in the nearby river after one of the world championships... Which world championships was this? Or was it the Olys?

1972 worlds was in Calgary (Toller was 5th),
1972 olympics in Sapporo (Toller was 9th).

BUT I have no idea about the Toller story, but I'm definitely curious to hear it :D

It happened in Goteborg, Sweden, after the 1976 Worlds. Toller placed 4th & knew that his amateur career was over. The skates he threw into a canal were the ones he used for figures. He relates the story in his book "Zero Tollerance", page 35-36.
