I dont know if this has been reported but there is a new article posted today in the canada.com sports section.

Not sure this link will work but here goes anyway.

Also mentions some others in the lineup.

This same article has also been posted on the Globe and Mail website:

Since this is a Canadian Press story, it'll probably appear on at least a couple of other websites, too (hopefully websites with much shorter URLs--LOL!) I'm not surprised S&P will be skating the Canadian SOI tour as well as the U.S. tour (LOL!), but some of the other cast changes for the Canadian tour sound interesting. I'm glad to see B&E will be back on the Canadian tour (I was afraid they might retire/be replaced considering how many other pairs SOI has to choose from this year!) and I'm guessing they'll probably take M&S or I&Z's place in Canada.

The addition of Jennifer Robinson also sounds interesting--I'm actually surprised she didn't skate in last year's CSOI tour considering the lack of female singles skaters in that show. I wonder if she's replacing Katarina Witt in Canada?

I read another article saying Steven's injury could take up to six months to fully heal, so assuming he'll be ready to skate by next spring is probably cutting it pretty close, but here's hoping! :)

I wonder why B&K weren't mentioned in this article, though--unless Shae's injury is a lot more serious than they're letting on, I'm assuming they'll be back as well, though!

This is the first time I remember a Canadian SOI article published such a long time before the show actually begins--the skaters don't usually do this kind of publicity until the show actually hits the road!

S&P joining the cast was actually announced back in May (or at least that's the date on the CSOI web site news release: http://www.starsonice.ca/news/detailnews.asp?NewsID=22)

BTW, that site still lists B&K as part of the cast ... but I don't think they've updated it for a while.

On the Ticketmaster site, they list the cast as "Kurt Browning, Isabelle Brasseur & Lloyd Eisler, Alexei Yagudin, Todd Eldredge, Jamie Sale & David Pelletier, Steven Cousins + additional skaters may be added."

Well, CSOI tickets go on sale this weekend so that would explain the article appearing now.
