Ice_Girl_001/Jade/Lutzgirl/Justine R....stop the bs, please. It's getting a little deep in here. And it's really a bit much to reply to just about every single thread in a forum, regardless of date, or 'stickiness'. Some threads are meant for information, not conversation.

What The Heck Are Spoilers?

In case the question about "what is a spoiler" is legitimate--I didn't know what a spoiler was when I first got my computer and joined skating forums. I got bashed for posting about someone drawing out of a competition which everyone considered a spoiler, so....
A spoiler is giving the results of a competition on the forum before it's been publicly announced, aired on tv, etc.
Now that I know what a spoiler is, I really don't like being spoiled. I was so mad when someone on tv announced Kulik's Olympic win before it had been aired! I also do not like to read spoilers on the net.
Most boards frown on listing a spoiler in the thread title...I'm not sure what the policy for that is on this board.

As a matter of common sense, I would think this board holds the same position.
BTW, welcome, Peabody.

If anyone has updates or corrections to any news articles, could they be kind enough to share with readers here? I try to keep up with the latest skating news and that would be helpful. Thanks!
Also, is general conversation about the news articles allowed here or just links? I noticed that someone above noted that some threads are just for links and not conversation.

This forum (Skating News & Articles) is for news and articles about skating, but not about events, shows, or competitions.
There's a separate forum for shows and events, to prevent discussions from spoiling an event for someone who hasn't seen the coverage as yet.
