Ack - it seems the broken form has foiled me - I have 2 entries which is not supposed to be allowed (thought my first didn't go in and I tried again a few days later!)! 8O
And both my teams are doing pretty well too! :P

200 and 222 points so far.

Saw the results today and was so excited! I'm doing so well, but man, if Ann Patrice would've only found that visa...I might be leading! :x

Good job u2! Just curious, what are the prizes? They don't seem to list them anywhere anymore.:?:

Kamey...I believe all the prizes are gift certificates for USFSA merchandise. $100 worth to the first place winner, $50 worth for second and $25 worth for third.
The final results were posted today. Congratulations on your victory, Adrian! What will you get yourself from the USFSA store?
I finished 3rd a couple years ago (tied for 2nd in points, lost the tie-breaker in the GPF), but, as I thought at the time, that'll certainly be my highest placement ever. I did OK this year - a little bit behind Adrian's "2nd" team (low 200s). Irina didn't get me as many points as she usually does!

Congrats Adrian!
Whee! I finished second! I am in shock! 8O

I am in bigger shock! 8O
One of my picks even scratched from their GP events! You take all the points your skaters earn on the GP circuit and times two to get the final score, right?
The USFSA seems to have more than 1 store? Very confusing... I wonder if me can buy some USFSA team apparel? :?:

Wow Adrian! What a great surprise! What stocks should I buy and what are the big game lottery numbers this week?
Congratulations!

When I came in third during the '00-'01 season, I thought I would get to apply the prize money to anything in the USFSA online store. Instead, I got a one page order form that had come out of Skating Magazine. It contained only items with USFSA logos, such as a T-shirt, sweatshirt, blanket, etc. I had wanted to apply it to books, so I was disappointed.
When did you finsh third, EMCC? Were you able to spend your prize money on anything at the USFSA store or just a few limited items, like me?
Also, can you enter more than one team? It sounded like Adrian entered two teams.

wow, congrats! I finished with a total of 180, not bad I guess. I got max points for the Chinese pair, Plushy and Sasha. I received a decent set of numbers for Belbin and Agosto. Got a few more from Delmore and Sokolova. Got nothing from L&T not competing and low finishes from Kalvasevich and Parchem. Adrian, who was your dream team?

How do you count the points - I'm still trying to remember who I picked for pairs and dance. I know I had Cohen/Arakawa, Abt/Joubert and Langlois/Archetto for sure.
I messed up my entries actually  - the USFSA entry form was broken for a few days so I though my first try at it never got submitted... so I sent another entry it just before the closing deadline... oh well, we'll see if I get disqualified - no biggie really, just did it for fun anyways. :D

Congrats, Adrian!
As for me...What do you get for 43rd place?? ;) :P I can't find where I wrote down my team......

Congrats Adrian. I wondered why you had 2 teams. LOL I hope you don't get disqualified.
Haribobo,
I lost my list of competitors before the season even started. But I ended with 202. Darn, I wish I had my list.

Patty: Actually, I finished 3rd behind you in 2000-2001 !! We were tied for 2nd after the 6 GP events, then I lost to you (I forget how) in the GPF, which was the tie-breaker. At least, that's how I remember it working out. I don't think I got anything saying that I was third - just a gift certificate for $25, which was the 3rd-place prize. Louis was the winner that year.
I got the same order form from the USFSA that you got. Guess what? I still haven't ordered anything! I hope they'll still honor it.

Patty, thanks for that info. That's very disappointing! I was already spending my winnings on books in my head too! Did they contact you my mail then? I haven't heard anything from them via email or anything. My team was: Sasha Cohen, Ann Patrice McDonough (arrgh, that visa!), Sasha Abt, Brian Joubert, Petrova & Tikhonov, Langlois & Archetto, Lobacheva & Averbukh and Kulikova & Markow.
Adrian, you count your points this way: Only the two scoring events count. Skaters get points reversely from the order of finish times 2. So if your skater finished last...you still receive 2 points. If your skater wins and there were 12 entries...you receive 24 points. For instance, Sasha won Trophee Lalique, but there were only 8 entries, so I only got 16 points for that win.

They finally figured out the error  - so I'm disqualified... oh well, next year.
purplecat - that means you're now the winner! Congrats! :D
And I still can't figure out who I voted for, best as I can tell, this was it but then the score would be 258, not 260...
Cohen/Arakawa
Abt/Joubert
Langlois&Archetto/Zhang&Zhang
Belbin&Agosto/Kulikova&Markov

Adrian, I'm so sorry. :( Stupid computer error! :x

Aw don't be - the fun is in the choosing, not in the prizes. ;)
If they started giving out VIP experience to US Nationals or something where you can attend the reception, press conferences, go backstage, etc - then I might be a tad upset! :P
