There was a press conference in Memphis, Tennessee, to make some announcement about Tyson boxing in Memphis. Just before the announcement was made, Tonya appeared at the podium and announced that she was joining the Professional Boxing ranks.
I guess this is "for real." LOL

Just so long as she remembers that she can only use boxing gloves... no long objects!:P

i think tonya should see if there are any opportunities in wrestling. i think there is more money and fame for females in wrestling than boxing.
however, with her scandalous history, she could definitely be one to draw in the crowds. however, i've seen some professional female boxers, and in comparison to how tonya boxed paula jones in the "celebrity boxing" match, these boxers would pummel little tonya.

I agree with you Duane... wrestling would be good for Tonya... good luck to her in whatever she does.

I hope Tonya is successful.
I'm sure she will be a draw, and that will be good for ladies boxing.
The article on ESPN says she was evicted for non-payment of rent, so she must be extremely down and out, and that is sad to see.

You would think that she would be able to capitalize on her name in some way... sure, she'll always be notorious in the public eye- but she can still use that.. to keep from getting evicted at least. The hotsauce thing, for example. She could do interviews. She could write a book. Sigh..

Why am I not surprised?
Her story remains predictable, banal, and uninspiring.
