Hi everyone,
I remember for a few years in a row, NBC
broadcasted the one-hour version of SOI sometimes during January and then the cable channel A&E(Arts and Entertainment) aired the full 2-hour version.
I don't remember that being done last year. Can some of you folks confirm if last year's SOI was aired by A&E at all? Or did I just miss the A&E boardcast?
Thanks.

Yes, last year's SOI was broadcasted on NBC for one hour and two hours on A&E. (A&E showed all the solo numbers and the Carpenters finale, if that would jog your memory of seeing it or not.)

The A&E broadcast was actually reaired in March as well last year.
There's supposed to be an A&E broadcast again this year, plus the NBC broadcast is 1.5 hours, so we should get some good SOI stuff on TV this year =).

Thanks very much for your info. I must have completely missed the A&E boardcast last year.
I actually look more forward to the A&E version since it is much longer. There are a lot of backstage and practice footage. If I remember correctly, the A&E version was shot in a different angle.

The A&E and NBC shows are based on the same footage shot in Lake Placid each year. The same production company does both TV specials, so therefore, it's the same show, only with a few extra numbers added.
