I found this link on SkateFans and thought that I'd post the link here.

Hopefully they don't get rid of the 6.0 system. There is nothing wrong with it. The only thing that is wrong is the corruption among judges and federations - that is what they need to concentrate on.

[color=red:c816079506]thanks for the article link. It's nice to know that the problems haven't completely been swept under the rug yet, though I'm still not sure the changes are being brought about in the right way. What do you guys feel should be done about the ISU and judging?[/color:c816079506]
Gotta agree with Dustin. The problem is with the judges themselves :x , not the scoring system.

I believe that reform is [b:cea133ff00]needed[/b:cea133ff00] but I hope that M. Rogge would accept proposals other than Speedy's. I personally don't think that his is worth the paper it's written on

The judges should be employed by the ISU, not the individual federations. All international judges should undergo uniform training, and those caught cheating should be banned for LIFE. I agree with Dustin, there is nothing wrong with the 6.0 system (although I would seriously consider having the technical mark break all ties, this is a sport after all), only the way it is used.
It's interesting, in gymnastics judges have only 10 seconds to enter their marks, dramatically reducing the possibility of working out what numbers will "fix" things best. Perhaps figure skating should adopt a similar rule. It would also speed up the waiting time for marks.

Don't get rid of a 6.0!!!! I think it's one of the most special things a skater can recieve in their career!
But don't go by the law of "save the 6.0 for the last skater". What if Alexei Yagudin was first out of the block, and say Johnny Weir was last, give him the 6.0?!
