"I will try to influence in the right, proper way, by coming up with new projects," he said. "I have one idea every 10 minutes. I will definitely support the actions of Ottavio Cinquanta because he is the only one in the ISU able to maintain and keep the federation going forward. I have a lot of admiration and respect for Ottavio Cinquanta."
I have NO respect for Otavio Cinquanta. Didn't Didier call him evil a few months back? Of course these two have kissed and made up.... Didier helped get Cinq to the presidency in the first place. Cinq owes Didier.
Will this be like the judging sanctions for Balkov & Co. Big suspension that is cut short by Mr. President?
I think David Dore would make a better President.

I have one idea every 10 minutes? LOL Ahhh I see the man's ego is still very much intact. The arrogance of the clowns (or for that matter the clowns kissing up to said clowns) running this sport never ceases to amaze me. Wow.
blades -
I can see you don't agree! (That sort of sounds like a Dr. Suess line doesn't it?)
I've been critical of Dore in the past (loudly). But there's this. A loyalty division between those in power from USA and Canada and its evident and that is, I think not good for the sport as a whole. When USA and Canada stick together, the sport can advance more. Dore is not the total answer to that of course, but where's an American to step up to the plate? They are just not. Lots of talk..... and there seems to many US delegates/judges whatever who are privately saying speed and figure should split (YEs Yes YES .... NOW PLEASE) but no-one is doing anything.
Dore does stuff.
The other thing that concerns me is how serious does figure skating look to the world when it goes back to the next Olympics with the same President as Salt Lake? All the world's delegates go back and vote for the man who said he knows very little about figure skating, changes his mind every 5 minutes and overturn Congress decisions all by himself. And "we" vote him back into the position every two years and then whinge about him. Doh!
So who else is there on Council that can get the votes or do the job? (one of the two will do!! LOL) half of them are out (from my point of view) because we've already had a speed skater - then half of the figure skaters have no corporate experience which would not be good for the Tv negs. What are you left with? And anyway, after 2 or 4 years - you get another President. It's very silly that the job seems to be a life tenure situation.
thoughts blades? as I do respect your opinion.
