Any results or reviews from the Gay Games in Australia? I haven't heard anything about the figure skating events anywhere.

You can find the results via the official website of the games:

Here are the results of the first day of fs:

BUT
if you go there - can you explain those listings to me? Perhaps I'm just too dumb but I don't get it.... What are those classes all about? And there seem to be very few competitors.

I just want to brag about 3 of my friends from Melbourne.
David McLean won his division
Joanne Crynes won her division, and
Daniel McQuiernan came second in his division.
I want to congratulate my friends on their efforts. Can't wait to catch up with them when I see them at the rink again.

Hmmm? No Day 2 results??? :??
Anyone have any highlights on that? Anyone watching this event in person and can report in?
Cheers,

Aussie Willy,
That's great news.
Actually, there was an article on David McLean last week in the local newspaper. I'm wondering if I should upload it to my site?

I wonder if it's the same Perry Meek who was the Australian men's champion in 1983. His location is listed as West Hollywood, USA.

EOS - I definately think you should put the article about David on the website. I was also wondering if that was the Perry Meek from 83 Aust Nats.
BTW - Do you remember Joanne Crynes from the dance of event of that year?

Aussie Willy,
I'll have to check my tape from 83 nationals again. I also have an article on Joanne, too.
JazzPants...
I believe the second day of competition consisted of exhibitions only.

All of these groups are because this is an ISI event. ISI has lots of levels and types of competitions within levels.

Perry designed several of my skating costumes. I know he is living in West Hollywood. I did not know he still skates. I will have to email my coach about this. I no longer compete so I lost contact with Perry.

I really do not know. I suspect so. I emailed my coach to get the answer I will post when he replies. He is out of town.

Were there any ex Senior National or World skaters there?
