are Irena and Ilia staying eligible?i know irina had her surgery but i dont know how long that will take to recover.most couples i know are starting now to prepare the next season so how far behind will that set them?do you think they will top bourne/kraatz?

Well, it's been reported at FSU that she has undergone surgery and that they will start training as soon as she gets better. They do seem to be staying eligible.

The person who started the thread said that Averbukh posted an announcement at some board, or something along those lines. A mailing list, perhaps? Can't remember, but if you go over to FSU, you'll still see the thread.

I think they had actually announced in a press conference weeks ago that they stay eligible.

With Irina having had surgery now, I hope they've got enough time to fully prepare for the new season. I don't know, but maybe they're thinking about a late start into the season?

I agree, I'm glad L&A have stuck around. Should make the dance interesting to watch next year, otherwise I'm afraid B&K would run away with it.
