This journalist is not known for warm & fuzzy comments, but this article he wrote about last season(MK, Sarah's win, the future), represents how many, many fans (except rabid fans of MK) feel about how what is going on (in pertaining to how Michelle's skating/program quality) has changed over the years.

To summarize the parts of this article that made the most sense to me pertained to the questioning of why Michelle (who once made it public knowledge that she always prefers to skate to music not done by others, has now (after leaving Frank/Lori), adopted the most "commonly" used music for her skating programs. I'm not trying to diss on MK for this statement of Hersh's, but I was thinking the exact same thing last season when MK choose very "usual"(done before) piece of music to be her most important musical selection for her oly LP. What I think, is that perhaps MK was "not" the one who insisted that her program music be unusual, but more likely it was Lori and Franks idea for their star pupil. Let me say, that there is certainly nothing wrong with MK choosing to skate to common music (because the most commonly used music can be the most beauitful-it's all in how the program's put together). Hersh might not be a charmer, but he writes it like he sees it, its just unfortunate that certain forums would rather tar & feather the man w/ their negative posts and threats of e-mailing the guy (w/ their rage), instead of just seeing "why" the man might be making "some" good points. You don't have to agree w/ everything in the article, but being able to actually "think" about the possible merit of his words-shows the true signs that you're a logical minded and non/overly biased FS fan.
