Why? No US lady invited to GP France?

Except Cohen who is seeded, there is no US lady invited to GP France. I thought each GP host country has at least 1 invitation to each discipline in every GP event. Or am I mistaken?

Any thoughts on this one? Very confused.

I may be wrong, Luenatic, but I think the upper level skaters (Sasha, Sarah, Tim, etc.) get their choice of which GP events they'll attend. It's the lower level Senior skaters (like Matt Savoie, for instance), who are probably "drafted" to attend certain GP events. As long as the skaters fulfill their minimum requirement by the ISU.

Sasha Cohen IS the US lady at Lalique. Just because a skater is seeded doesn't mean their country gets an extra 'invite.'
