And NYC is definitely trying to get the 2012 summer Olympic Games (although they've got that embedded into the floor of a skating rink! Haha! :lol:

With NYC2012 emblazoned into the floor of the skating rink, the ceremony featured Olympic medalists Elvis Stojko and Victor Petrenko and U.S. champions Naomi Lang and Peter Tchernyshev.

I am almost certain the 2012 Olympics are going to be in Madrid, Spain. I was watching the Masters Series Tennis Match in Madrid and they said that Madrid was the host for 2012 Olympics.. They said the reason the new In-Door Tennis Court was constructed was because of the olympics in 2012. They also had a banner saying 2012 Olympics or something on each end of the court. So.. thats all I know.

As far as I know no Olympics sites have been decided beyond Beijing 2008.

It's possible Madrid is one of the frontrunners for 2012....and built facilities to bolster their chances.

As I was walking throught the New York airport, i saw a sign like "Vote New York 2012" It then went on to say it would chosen November 3 if i remember correctly. The website also had something like nov3 in the adress.

The November 3 date is for the US to choose between NYC and San Francisco. After that, we compete internationally.
