What commercial are you taking about? Haven't seen that on TV but then, I haven't been watching that much TV. Plus, Blades where are you from? On what network did you see the commercial?

This wouldn't be the Dunkin' Donuts commercial the SOI cast shot in Simsbury last month, would it? I read a bit about this commercial on a Tara website and haven't heard much about it since.

this is a new ad for TCM (turner classic movies)...

it's shown on cable in the states....

they went the distance on this one....complete ice show set...stage...dash lights...props....etc...full audience...the works...must have cost a bundle!!!

Care to explain what it is? I don't get it...a takeoff on "The Dirty Dozen" using figure skaters? Who played Jim Brown and Telly Savalas? :D

Can someone who's seen it provide a more detailed description? Sounds like fun!

I'm in Canada and I've seen the commercial on TBS. It's pretty hilarious and there appears to have been a great deal of effort and expense put into the production values - especially sound efforts, set design, lighting and costumes, not to say choreography (the nazi soldiers doing twizzles for example while they chase the "heros"). Anyone who's sat through a show like "Grease On Ice" would really appreciate seeing this tongue in cheek "Dirty Dozen On Ice" parody. Also, it's at least twice the length of a regular commercial, and I hated to see it end!

I've seen it a couple of times. It's a take-off of a production number from an ice show. Skaters doing twizzles, jumping over props (reminded me of the old fashioned barrel jumps), dying on the ice (aka - ice satire). The skaters are dressed in fatigues and carrying "rifles".

It's a hoot!

"OH! That commercial." When I first saw it, I thought that some kind of skating show was comming on and that those were the previews that go before the announcement. Then it got crazy fast and I was like, what?
Your right blades, completely off the wall. But why so much money into an ad like this? Was someone trying to say something about skating lately?8)
