Very interesting reading, thanks for the link.
I certainly hope
they can get things right for the skaters.
I'd say it's about time but,
I won't hold my breath in them
doing so.

Adrian -
Thanks for the link. What a tragedy this all is. I wish they would hire me. I would get the entire thing fixed in under a week! It isn't rocket science for heaven sake!

while i think one who has been shown to have cheated should be banned from judging, IMO judging can never be completely "fixed". as long as personal opinion and national bias are involved, judging will always be an issue with someone.

like dick button, i hate the anonymity of the judges with this new system. i mean, if something is considered broken, secrecy is perhaps the worst solution!

i find it fascinating that US officials "for years" have felt frustration in perceived bloc judging from former russian nations. North American men dominated World and Olympic championships during the 80's, while American women have dominated them during the 90's.

ITA with everything duane said, especially disliking the anonymity of the judges. The more transparent the judging the better, if for no other reason than to show that judging in skating isn't nearly as bad as many journalists have made it seem.
