A wonderful person who gave so much.
My sympathy to his wife and family, to David and Rita Lowery who were his surrogate parents, and to all the people who will miss him.

i just got back to town to learn of the loss of mr. disbrow.

he was a most clear-thinking and honest human being i ever knew within the skating world. i'll never forget his classic comment (in jest of course) a bit after the harding/kerrigan episode "what ice dance needs is a "good" scandal. this was in jest, of course, he wanted to see ice dance develop into a strong, respected discipline. i think it's well on the way.

he also had a solid sence of balance and promoted skating as a great way to develop character and learn "life lessons."

i will so miss him. my sympathy to his family. but be comforted by the knowledge that he contributed great positive attitude to the skating comunity and we are all better for his being with us.
