Brian Boitano will be in Portland, OR the weekend of August 7-8 for an event called "The Bite of Oregon"! This is the same weekend as our figures competition!!!!

Of course we all wonder now if Brian will stop by at our competition, do a figure or two, act as a celebrity judge, have a photo op - whatever! Since he was, I believe the last male American Olympic champion to have done figures at the Olympics, how could he pass up this amazing opportunity???
He will be doing cooking demonstrations (or somesuch) down at the "Bite" - since our competition is early mornings on that weekend, MAYBE if we are lucky he will come down, but since these celebrities are often scheduled very tightly the best we can probably hope for is that we will go down to the event (an easy MAX train ride from the competition venue) and check our Brian's "Bite" event

So if this gives anyone on this board on incentive to come and do figures with us, the entry/registration deadline is July 16 and an entry form can be found at:

In any case, this should be a fun weekend and having a celebrity chef and Olympic champion here that weekend will make it all even more fun!!
