I'm pleased to see that Alissa Czisny is planning to compete. I'm very surprised that Johnny Weir is in the lineup. I hope they both have good performances.

No Lysacek, but there are a few "TBD" in the US lineup; perhaps they're waiting to hear back from him.

I know how each country's World and Olympic team slots are qualified.
Is it a similar process for the ISU Grand Prix, ie. based on the finish at the prior year competitions?

USFSA has given the junior gold medalist Agnes Zawadzki two GP spots? Is that standard, or a special deal this time?

Hmmm...didn't Ashley Wagner debut on the GP circuit with two events?

Agnes was guaranteed one assignment basic on her placing at last year's world championships. He overall total score at that competition was high enough on the ISU season's best list that she was invited for a second spot and you dont turn down spots. ;)

Now either Evan decided not to compete on the grand prix circuit this fall or he is choosing to retire are the only two reasons why he did not get an assignment. Joannie Rochette has decided to take the grand prix series off. Maybe he felt that all of this touring and shows have left him undertrained for the fall???
