Yuko & Alexander fell twice in the free, I figure they're lucky to be on the podium. (But I'm biased, I find her overdone style very off-putting.)

i agree! i'm so glad s&s beat them this time.


EDIT: sorry if that made no sense; i was under the impression smirnov/kavaguti won silver at the olympics, not pang and tong. haha.

It's interesting to note how the top five all scored so highly and yet from 6th place downwards there's nearly a 20 point difference.

I thought Pang and Tong were pretty much finished by 2007 and that China had to rely on Zhang and Zhang to win the medals. Looks like I was wrong.

Did Shen and Zhao retire after Vancouver? They would've had a great performance here if they competed I'm guessing.

Yes. They stated long before the Games that they were coming back for just the Olympics.
