I would like to present you my first montage. It’s a slide show about one of the most artistic figure skaters Alissa Czisny. For this movie I selected the great music by Tomaso Albinoni-Adagio.
The singer is a young very talented Russian lady Michelle Serova. The interesting thing is that this girl are not a professional singer. But just listen her wonderful voice, her passion, her perfect music presentation. http://worldskating.blogspot.com/2010/04/graceful-alissa.html

Come back to skating Tara. Hollywood is not good for you. :)
I'm sorry I read this, as it seems to confirm the opinion I had already formed about Tara. Great skater, but pretty empty upstairs. I'm not commenting on her intelligence, but on what she does not do with it. She really doesn't seem to have given much thought to anything, including skating. Sad, IMO.

I totally agree...especially after reading that interview. She barely said anything--it is as if she is empty upstairs. I understand she wanted to give Hollywood a shot, but the reality is that it hasn't worked out for her--she has done so little there and has been there for a long time.
She has enough money to move forward in her life--she could actually go to college and do so many things, but it is as if she is just stuck in this limbo of not using her skating talents and trying to be a "star".

But was this a person to person interview, a live chat, or what? It seems somewhat hurried, and rather basic, like it was a very, very short interview.

I'm not sure she can use her skating talents - with all the hip reconstructment surgeries? Who knows what's going on there.

QFT.
Her skating career is over. Her career touring was longer than her career competing as an eligible skater (Senior, at least), so I don't really think one can really come down her her for not using her skating talents after winning in Nagano. She had multiple surgeries and still skated in shows.
She knew her hip was pretty bad after she won in Nagano. Even during the Olympics you can tell it was killing her after her Long Program. It's like she was laughing and crying at the same time, and not all because she skated well, either...

She was a very talented skater; I think she should only stick to that.

I was thinking more of staying involved in skating in the ways she can....whether it be coaching, commentating, etc--or even skating if done without overdoing it. I know that she has recently done some commentating, but in years past she pretty much ditched the skating community at a time that she probably should have stayed somewhat involved.

Tara doesn't owe anything to the skating community. She's already given Skating a Hip. Let her move on.
