No surprise that Patrick won, but good to see him skating so well after his disasterous Skate Canada appearance. Not exactly the early season he would have liked, what with injuries and a last-minute coaching change, but he seems to be back on track now. Pretty impressive scores too -- 90.14 SP, 177.88 LP, for a 268.02 total, although I think there was a bit of inflation there.
I would have loved to see Shawn Sawyer take the second spot, but it wasn't to be. Vaughn Chipeur really has improved his artistic side, and I love watching him jump -- the guy has some serious hang time!

Definitely some inflation there on the technical scores anyways as Patrick did make two mistakes on his jump elements.
