Ok, the SP has always been Cynthia's strong point and Joannie's weak point ... but still, yikes! Joannie fell on the 3lz, but did get credit for full rotation.

I think Cynthia has just proven her competitive spirit with that great short program.. now she needs to show Skate Canada that she can put two good programs back to back, then her Olympic spot is confirmed I think.

As expected, Joannie redeemed herself in the LP. That's the best I've seen her skate all year -- definitely in Olympic form. But I was also really impressed with Cynthia in the LP -- she hasn't been able to put a long program together in years, but although it wasn't perfect, it was very convincing. She earned her trip to Vancouver.
