Hello! This is my 1st time here!
I am a huge fan of Jamie S. and David P. Just curious as to what they are going to do now that they have retired? Will they still skate pro? Hope I get to see them again!
While on the subject of pairs--what "major" teams are left? Jamie and David retired, and aren't Ina and Zimmerman taking the year off? What about the Russian's?
Hi dear,
As far as Jamie and David are concerned, I suggest you go to their official site to check out more about them there. David posted and said they are doing Kristy Yamaguchi event next in Florida. It will air later on this year. The did the Ray Charles a weekend ago. You can also read about the review on their offical site. They also going to do two competitive events - Hallmarks and Sears Open. Both events will be televised. Otherwise, you should see them skate in the SOI starting ASAP.
We don't really know their music for this year but I gather "I gotta woman" may be one of the solo. I am not sure if *Drift Away*, a jazzy one is going to be their other solo. Was this the one supposed to be choreographed by Christopher Dean?
In any case, their official site is the best place to go to find out what they are doing.
As far as who else is still in the amateur...I think S&Z, B&S, P&T and the other Russian pair trained by Oleg(I can't remember their name) plus the American(has many more teams..wohoo!!!) and Canadian pairs( Annabelle&Patrice and Jazzy&Lenny).
It is time to chat...go to Jamie and David site...

Yep, the Jamie and David site definitely keeps you updated on what they are doing. The message board has been having some problems lately so it might not be working if you try to come visit. It is being worked on though so the problems will hopefully all be fixed soon.

I just saw a promo for S&P's Connie Chung Live appearance, and B&S will be appearing on the show, too. The interview promises to reveal how the two pairs really feel about each other after the Olympics. But I'll likely watch it anyway! :)

 I'm disappointed to hear that! I was hoping it was just an interview with S & P about what they are doing NOW, not rehashing the Olympic fiasco! argh! I'll be watching it anyway I suppose.
Just a note to people expecting to see S&P and B&S on Connie Chung tonight. I just saw a promo for Connie's show tonight on CNN and it looks like it will be a special dealing witht he Washington Sniper Attacks.

I received an e-mail from the Jamie & David official website today and they said that Jamie & David would be on the show tonight. How long is probably the question.
I'm thinking that the skaters may have been put on hold due to the very recent developments in the sniper case. I'm sure an interview was taped and will be shown at a later date if they are not on tonight.

We may not have gotten to see S&P and B&S on Connie Chung tonight, but here's a nice article featuring both pairs:
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/olympics/winter/2002-10-14-skate-pairs_x.htm
Judging from the first paragraph of the article, it sounds like the Connie Chung interview was taped in advance, so hopefully we will get to see it soon.

Thanks VGL for the warning that J & D would not be on tonight. Let's hope they do show the interview. Too bad it won't be live and I hope we get advance warning.

I suspect the interview won't have been live anyway. Kristi's show is tomorrow night. It would have been too tiring to be interviewed by Connie in the studio tonight and immmediately fly to Florida and perform the next night. I don't think they would have enough time to do the reheasals and all. Judging from the article, it sounds like they are already in Flordia today(Tuesday).
