Brag Warning: Skating Outfit

I'm bragging - one of my DD's is in a Nutcracker skating show. She's a party guest and part of one group routine. For Christmas, she asked for a new skating dress with a long, poufy skirt in fire engine red. She got it!

I love it - long sleeved to keep warm, and a beautiful shade of red for wearing on the ice!

I lined the front, mostly for DD's requested modesty, but mostly to keep her warm. That portion of the show includes standing around a lot.

I have another brag, this one about the same DD. The show includes dolls that are brought to life by magic. Part of the show is for escorts to push the dolls into their soloist starting positions. I asked my DD to escort one of my students. Tonight, when she scampered over to do her duty, she noticed that there was another "doll" had no escort on the way. DD didn't want to leave her behind, so she escorted both of them, one hand on each of their backs! I told her she was like Harry POtter in the Goblet of Fire - didn't want to leave until all the hostages had been rescued, lol. DD must be a Griffyndor, huh?
