I just received a PSA email saying that Oleg Protopopov is recovering from a stroke suffered last Thursday.

I know many skaters on this board have attended the pairs clinics in Lake Placid, NY that he and his wife have offered.

Best wishes for Mr. Protopopov's speedy recovery and prayers for him and his family.

Flo, thanks so much for posting the address. I would never have known how to find it, and I'd certainly like to send him a card to wish him well and thank him for the many, many years of skating joy :bow: that he and his wife have provided us all.

I read an update yesterday that said he's able to speak in both English and Russian, so he's recovering.
