About the Finlandia Trophy: It was reported in Finland´s main newspaper that according to the fan-indicator the best in the competition, the fan-favourite, was USA´s Matthew Lind. Lind said that his wrist got tired as he gave autographs over a half an hour with his skates still on.

"The 19 years old Lind did not know himself, why the little fans chose him for their favourite. He did not fall, but most of his jumps were two-footed. The vivid programme and Lind´s smile compensated the technical failures in the eyes of the audience, the judges did not agree though."
