More blade questions...

I skate in ISE Sterling and love them. I was told they were equivalent to a Coronation Ace and comparing them both in a shop they look to have similar amounts of toe-pick (my normal standard for spotting blade differences). They're a good cheap equivalent. I was debating moving up to the Stealth last year but in the end decided that the toe-pick was too scary for me and that my skating hadn't made enough progress to justify the extra expense.
I think ISE are now part of Jerrys as I have a feeling that my replacement blades say Jerrys on them, although they're definitely ISE Sterling.

You are right, they are a prt of Jerry's now. :) I'm likely buying my daughter a pair of Jackson Freestyle boots and am looking for a decent yet affordable blade to put on her new boots. She needs a bit more then what the standard blade on those boots provide(according to her coach).

They're good prices for the blades. I think mine were $70 from FigureSkatingDeals / Cyclone Taylor last year and they were about $50 when I first got them which is about 4-5 years ago now.

I like the price for the blades as I can't see why I need to payout loads of money on blades when I don't skate at a high standard and I can see for a growing child that the same arguement applies as they won't get much use for them.

I really like them, but they're pretty unknown. When I first got them they were about as obscure as Ultima (at least in the UK) but Ultima has managed to take off over here and Jerrys/ISE haven't. I don't really understand why this is, but it seems that lots of coaches just tell the parents to buy Coronation Aces.

I used the ISE Sterling blade when I was working on pre-juv mif thru intermediate mif and doing axels, double loops, and double salchows. They held up nicely even with synchro. I currently have the ISE Storm blades and have used them for intermediate thru work on senior moves as well as with synchro and some freestyle. I like these better than the sterling blade because the toe pick is bigger. However, I had a little difficulty finding these in the chrome online, as they typically come in gold.
