I watched nearly the whole television program; I'm pretty sure ABC did not show Jennifer...it's too bad...I would have liked to have seen her skate.

ABC did not show Jennifer, but she finished last, so I am not totally surprised.
However, they did not show Matt Savoie either, and he was 4th, I believe.

No, Matt came in 5th. Takeshi was 4th.

We wouldn't know, ABC did not feel she was worthy of showing apparantly!!

Jennifer skated to Spanish music in a sleek red dress. Despite her placement, I thought she skated with good speed and attack. She opened with a popped lutz, 3salchow/3loop with a fall on the loop but good for trying, 3flip, 2axel, 3loop, 3toe, 3salchow/2toe, fall on final 3lutz. She had a dancey straight line step sequence that fit the music well.

Did anyone notice when ABC listed the ladies before the competition, they had Jennifer Robinson down as "Jane Garden" - good lord, how stupid is that?

I was sitting in my living room saying to myself, who the heck is Jane Garden? It never occurred to me that they would not double-check competitors before putting their names on the screen.

You have got to be kidding!!! I never noticed that. That is terrible...ABC should get it straight. No wonder they didn't show her performance...they'd never heard of her! They were probably sitting there saying "well, we'd better not show this jane girl...noone will know who she is...let's chack her"

It was pretty incredible. I felt kind of stupid reading the list because, as you can see, I am a Canadian and I thought to myself, where have I been? Do we have a lady that is at the level necessary to compete here and I've never heard of her?

And where did they get that name? Jane Garden?? Doesn't exactly sound like "Jennifer Robinson", does it?

Thanks for posting. Thats actually a pretty good skate for Jennifer this early in the season. Hopefully she gets the lutz perfected and she can challenge at Nations Cup.

I thought Jane Garden was Judge 1 from Canada.

Wow, I wonder if you're right and there was just a computer glitch where that name followed through to the incorrect list. It does make sense though because where would they get that name in the first place unless it actually existed? Just one of those weird things.

Jane Garden is in fact a judge from Canada, one of the top ones too as a matter of fact. She's known for being a terrifically precise judge and has done worlds at least once. She's judged me once for a gold test before. It was a little intimidating having a world level judge doing your test, LoL.

Just thought I would add that I think it was wrong that JR was not shown as all the other ladies in the top six were. Why was she not shown? Was she not in the top six? Maybe it they had cut out some of the other ladies fluff stuff, then they would have left some room for her performance:?:

There were only six competitors...and Jen being chacked was no more a 'crime' than Matt Savoie being the only one of the six guys to not get shown...
