The video schedule on UniversalSports (http://www.UniversalSports) says they're showing it live on their website. (No commentary, just crowd, music and blades on ice sounds.) I don't know if there are restrictions - you'd have to check out their site to find out.

The later group of skaters will be shown live on the Oxygen Network from 6:30-8:30pm ET. I think Michelle Kwan is supposed to be one of the commentators.

Canada's CBC will be showing both groups live.

The second skater, Sonja MUGOSA (MNE), withdrew.

All I ever see when I check that site is the stupid ad and then it just sits there w/ nothing else. Am I doing something wrong??

All I ever see when I check that site is the stupid ad and then it just sits there w/ nothing else. Am I doing something wrong??For me, it plays the 15-second running commercial then automatically starts the skating.

UniversalSports' Video Help is here: http://www.universalsports.tv/Video_Help.html

Maybe there's some setting or update you need?

(Note: I just read that link and it says that the videos aren't available outside the US. Shouldn't be an issue for Phoenix, but someone else asked me this morning.)

The skater from India has beautiful spins. She needs to focus on jumps and choreography now.

Maybe the Universal sports site just didnt load properly?? Maybe if you tried refreshing it, it might stop playing the same commercial over and over again.

That's a new move - a catch-foot sit spin! (Skater in pinstriped dress skating to "Beetlejuice" medley.)

Phoenix, I don't know where you are but the Universal Sports site only works if you're in the USA.

I don't think the CBC site has restrictions but I'm not sure about that since I obviously can't test it from outside the country. ;)

Can you describe this move. She's in a sitspin position and she grabs her free leg from behind?

Go Mao !!

Can you describe this move. She's in a sitspin position and she grabs her free leg from behind? No, she catches the free foot in front, lifting it up into a "Y-spin" position without getting up from the sit or losing speed. Very cool move, bad nickname on my part.

I can't find the SP results yet.

I read online that Alissa fell twice in her performance :( .

Flatt stepped out of her 3flip in her planned 3f-3t so she then completed a 3ltz-2t instead.

I think Yu-Na Kim won (by a mile) but am not sure if the SP is actually over yet... been following on twitter - the universalsports site doesn't work well for me...

Is a 10 points spread between Mao and Kim too much for Mao to make up? Looks like this will be Kim's year to win the crown. I wish the point spread would be closer to make it more of a battle in the final. Of course nothing is over yet until tomorrow night.

Ouch for Czisny. I think her competitive career might be done if she doesn't pull herself up significantly after the LP. She just doesn't have the steely nerve for it.

What browser are you using? I got that with Firefox, but have other problems with IE.

I get nothing on CBC here in the States.

I'm still having awful problems with universalsports, on both computers. I was able to watch most of the men's short with few problems, and got the pairs FS on demand OK, but trying to watch the ladies short today was just too frustrating. I played with buffering and got 30 minutes out of it before the first stall and hoped that closing the browser and starting over would give me another 30 min, but it dropped down to about 8 and got worse from there until there were constant interruptions. I really think it might be my DSL or my router. The router is pretty old and I did have one definite access problem with it in the recent past. I have a new one on hand, but just hate to have to deal with it. Well, maybe I'll try it tomorrow.

My comment on the gap between Kim and Asada is that Asada can definitely make that up if she lands a triple axel or two. It is still in my opinion anyones game. Whoever skates the best in the long will win.

I think you're talking about Ana Cecilia Cantu from Mexico. She starts in a very low sitspin, grabs the front of the blade of her free foot, which is extended straight out in front of her, and actually lifts it up about a foot higher. Lifting that front leg forces her farther back on her blade so it's absolutely amazing that she can keep spinning and not fall back onto her butt!
