I watched some figure skating videos on youtube and found that most of the american "yunger" skaters doesn't hold their spinpositions and spiralpositions long enough. (With yunger I mean like juniors and such).
Now why is it like that? Isn't it the same grading system with GOE and levels?
If it is - why doesn't the skates try to level up by holding their positions?! :??

Maybe the videos were from 6.0 graded competitions?

What's the difference then?
I'm very interested to learn about how it works in other countries :)
I watched some jun championship and thought they didn't hod positions and counting laps in their spinpositions..
I also watched som youngsters who had like show-programs with lyrics and like funny clothes. - Is that something special and like counts like a other kind of competition with special points?

It sounds like you are watching exhibition programs rather than competitions. Exhibition programs are not judged & the skaters are free to do what they want.
