Now that the new judging system is starting, what will the various commentators on TV have to talk about?

I would like to hear more technical evaluation, perhaps focusing on one or two elements for each performer, both the good and the bad, and what is needed to improve it. What amount of deduction is taken for the mistake? And of course, explanation of the new judging system.

I especially would like more information about a balanced program; coverage of ice, elements not all in one corner, connecting steps, etc. Rarely are the programs shown on a blank surface, all the curves, lines, X for jump, S for spin, etc. I find this really telling and have only seen two in print in books.

Perhaps we could hear more about where the skater trains (general location), what is their typical training schedule, how are they meeting their financial obligations, who makes up their team (ballet, off-ice, etc.), how many coaches, who got them really started in the competitive world or influenced them the most, who was the coach responsible for making the breakthrough to the national/international scene. And more information about the skaters from other countries - where do they train? Does their training schedule differ significantly from the USA? And I think it should be mentioned about schooling - like are they homeschooled, even in school, or college/further education pursuits.

And who are the various people we see in the 'Kiss 'n Cry' area???? Not just the well known...

Any thoughts?

I definitely see the commentors going:

"Okay, what do you think of that 5th mark(the lowest)?"

"it seems like the 5th judge give her a lower techical score because she undertotated the triple axel..."

"I think the skater did well but that 5th judge..."

5th judge ...5th judge...*sigh*
