According to a post on this message board, Silvia's been offered a solo spot on SOI:

I've never heard of a skater accepting an offer to join SOI after rehearsals have already taken place, but I guess they were still trying to add one more woman to the cast. :)

I must admit I've only seen Silvia skate a couple of times during her eligible career, but I'm looking forward to seeing what she'll have to offer SOI!

She is awesome to watch! She had the best energy in her programs last season, IMO. Her short program was spectacularly choreographed!

That happened just a couple of years ago when Yuka was added to the cast.

Just speculating, but it sounds like John Z may have had a hand in this. Aren't Ina & Zimmerman touring with SOI this year?

Yes, I&Z are with SOI this year. Sylvia has been helping out in the practices subbing for Ina while Ina is out with a shoulder injury, so this is probably how she got her foot in the door.

I just asked IMG about this and she said that Silvia is not in the US SOI tour. Sorry to disappoint!
