Thanks for posting...This is a great result so far for Hinzmann/Hartsell. Congrats to them. Let's hope they can carry it through to the free program.

The men's field looks very tough, so 9th place for Matt Lind really isn't that bad. Good for Ryan Jahnke to be 3rd in this field. Sounds like he might have skated clean. Ilia Klimkin must have had some major problems in the short, I thought he had a shot at winning.

I wonder what happened to Andrea Gardiner! She's a good skater...let's hope she rebounds a little in the long. Nice result for Lindsey Weber-- she's higher than I expected at this point. Congrats to Poykio and Currie! What a strong result for both of them!

Anyone know how they skated?

Cdn focus...

Hmmm...probably not exactly the result Andreev and company were looking for, especially since I think they were looking for world ranking points. Hopefully, the long program will go better.

Nice result for Bergeron/Davison -- sitting in 3rd isn't bad at all.

And of course, I'm tickled to see Michelle Currie sitting where she's at!

Way to go Marcy & Steve! Best of luck in the free skate. :)

Great to see Ryan Jahnke in the top 3. Hopefully he can hold on for a medal.

Andrea! What is going on!!! If she doesn't start doing well soon, she may never get into any major Internationals. Geeeze. This is so disapointing. :(

Steve called and said they had a clean program, off on unison on the triple toes, wonky landing on the throw. The Urkaines had a two foot landing on the toe for her and a two foot landing on the throw for her. Steve & Marcy beat them on presentation. It was a 5/2 split by the judges.

I'm just so impressed to see Matthew Lind getting senior international assignments, since three/four years ago he was the guest skater at our rinky-dink club's annual show - he's definitely come a long way from that! :D
