Danny Dannels skated across the United States in 2008, breaking the Guinness World Record. He is now putting the submission up for a vote on Youtube in an effort to bring attention to skating.
He says, “Skating is the answer to so many problems facing our society: Pollution, petrol dependence, physical fitness, and, mental health. Skating increases social skills and over-all happiness. Go skate!”

Danny will be skating Trans-USA again August 2009. The original attempt was sponsored in part by Australian speed skate manufacturer Bont.
Through his current efforts, he is raising money to donate to the Police Athletic League in Miami, in honor of The Great EsSkate, and the Susan G. Komen Race for the cure, in the battle against breast cancer.
He will be skating Trans-USA again August 2009. As in 2008, he will skate from San Diego, California to Jacksonville, Florida.
He has received commitments from Bont North America and an offer from Newron Sports. World record skater Jonathan Seutter has committed to drafting Danny across California. Danny is now in the process of contacting media outlets worldwide to promote the skating lifestyle.
