Wow, strong showing from Pennington so far. Didn't LaRoche retired about two years ago to coach? Nice to see that he's back competing.

And Weir slipped down another notch. Ouch.

There are three more too skate: Dennis Phan, Brandon Mroz, and Curran Oi, but I'm too tired to stay up. Are the skaters really still competing at 11:14pm EST, or are they in an earlier time zone?

Well good for Parker. He has been at this for a long time. I doubt he'll make the World team, but I do hope he'll finish at least high enough to get one or two GP assignment for the 09-10 season. That'll be a good way for him to finish up his eligible career and a nice feeling for his coach Carol Heiss.

Thanks everyone for posting the results. Quite a few surprises here. I feel so bad for Johnny.

Weir popped his 3A. I wonder if he would've placed higher under the 6.0 system?

I like Lysacek's Bolero from what I saw of it at Skate America.

I think Bradley was the only men to land a quad. Too bad he then doubled his lutz.

Abbot and Lysacek should make the World team. I'm not sure whom I'm rooting for that 3rd spot. I'd like Bradley to get it, but I wouldn't mind if either Weir, or even Pennington making it.

Johnny Weir will have to skate PERFECTLY if he wants to go to Worlds this year (or everyone else will have to fall apart, something I don't wish on anyone, well... maybe one person, but I digress...)

It will be really odd if he is not at Worlds since I think he was hoping to be a big contender for Olympics. I wonder if he gets less points for a single axel than for a fall or touch-down on a triple - probably... he should have gone for it.

I didn't see the performance though because of the darn icenetwork crazy-feed - stop, start, stop-start - oooh, look perfect Kiss and Cry video stream...
