"You know figure skating has an injury problem when even ice dancers are dropping like flies. World champions Isabelle Delobel and Olivier Schoenfelder of France will miss the upcoming European Championships because she needs surgery after injuring her shoulder at last month's Grand Prix final. Reigning Olympic silver medalists Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto of the U.S. dropped out of the Grand Prix event because of his bad back. Then, this afternoon, U.S. figure skating announced Agosto's injury would force the five-time national champions to skip the U.S. championships."

So I guess that moves Khoklova and Novitski up in the standings and gives Davis and White a shot. But I personally am rooting for Kerr and Kerr.

WOW! I didnt see that one coming! Wonder how long recooperation will take for them.. Think they will be back to defend their world crown or could Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir be the new World champs?

I guess you mean for Worlds, since obviously Davis & White won't be competing at Europeans. But Delobel and Schoenfelder aren't out of Worlds ... yet. Plus don't forget Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir, reigning world silver medalists. They may have to come from behind because of missing the Grand Prix season due to their injury, but they'll be in fighting at Worlds.

Kerr & Kerr are sentimental favourites for me too, but they've never been credit for what they do and will be hard pressed to beat the Russians and Italians, never mind the North Americans.

You are correct, I was thinking of worlds.
